Select A Billing Plan

Once testing is completed, select a billing plan and activate your free trial.

All Intuitive Shipping billing plans are based on the number of successfully completed orders per month. Every plan includes full feature access - nothing is locked behind a paywall.

If you exceed your monthly order limit, additional order costs are applied to each over that excides your plan limit. Service is never disrupted, and you can upgrade anytime to avoid further additional order costs.

Your monthly invoice will show your current plan and any overage fees. On Shopify, these charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice.

Intuitive Shipping does not handle billing for Shopify.

On BigCommerce, charges will be invoiced to you directly from Intuitive Shipping.

Each Intuitive Shipping plan includes a free trial that begins when you select a billing plan. You can uninstall the app at any time during the trial, and you won’t be invoiced if it’s uninstalled before the trial ends. When the trial expires, regular billing starts automaticall - no action needed!

To check when your trial ends, go to the Activity page and look for the blue banner at the top. This banner also appears on other pages, including Billing and Get started pages.

What Counts As An Order

Only completed orders count toward your monthly billing plan. Abandoned carts, test calculations, in-store purchases, and most POS orders are excluded.

If you’re using Shopify POS Pro, orders that require shipping will count. And if you’re using a third-party app to show local pickup options at checkout, those completed orders also count, even without shipping, because Shopify sends all rate requests to Intuitive Shipping.

An order is considered complete when a customer finishes checkout and payment, and your eCommerce platform generates an order number or draft order.

Test Your Setup

Before selecting a billing plan and making Intuitive Shipping rates live, we recommend testing your setup in Sandbox mode to ensure everything works as expected. Sandbox mode is free and doesn’t count toward your trial.

1. Make sure all Scenarios statuses are set to 'On'. While in Sandbox, you’ll still need to use ‘Intuitive’ as the customer’s first or last name at checkout (Shopify) or in the optional address field (BigCommerce or Shopify B2B).

2. Test each Scenario and shipping method before activating.

3. Remove rates from Shopify or BigCommerce or any other third-party rate calculator you’re currently using on your eCommerce platform. Be sure to remove them right before activating Intuitive Shipping to ensure customers can still check out. If you delete rates from other providers but delay activating Intuitive Shipping, no rates will appear and checkout will be blocked.

IS HS Billing - Change Plan

You can upgrade your billing plan at any time. Upgrading stops new additional order costs from accruing, but any costs already incurred will still be invoiced.

You can also downgrade if your current usage has not exceeded the lower plan’s limit. For example, if you’re on the Business plan and want to switch to Growth, you can only do so if your usage is still under 500 orders for the month.

After selecting a new plan, you may be redirected to your eCommerce platform and prompted to approve the updated subscription. Follow the steps provided to confirm and accept the updated monthly billing charges from Intuitive Shipping.
