How To Remove Shipping Rates From Other Sources

Delete your eCommerce platform shipping rates before you make Intuitive Shipping live on your checkout page.

While you’re using Intuitive Shipping in Sandbox mode, we encourage you to keep shipping rates from your eCommerce platform or other third-party sources active so customers can continue to complete their checkout while you test Intuitive Shipping in the background.

Intuitive Shipping cannot override rates from other sources, including your eCommerce platform or third-party rate calculators.

What does that mean?

First, when you test your Intuitive Shipping setup in Sandbox mode, rates from Shopify, BigCommerce or a third-party solution will still appear during test checkouts along with rates from Intuitive Shipping.

This is normal.

Only you can see the rates generated by Intuitive Shipping while in Sandbox mode. Your customers will continue to see rates from other sources until you activate a billing plan.

Second, when you activate Intuitive Shipping, you’ll need to delete all of your other rates so they no longer appear at checkout.

Remove Your Other Shipping Rates

The steps below can be used to remove your eCommerce platform’s built-in rates or rates from a third-party app or service provider.

Removing rate providers from your platform’s shipping settings only prevents rates from those sources from appearing at checkout. It does not affect account details, third-party app settings, or subscription services.

Before removing rates from other sources:

  • Test your Intuitive Shipping setup. This will ensure that the rates from our system are being displayed as expected while your customers continue to check out using your current rates.

 

Once testing is complete and you’re ready use Intuitive Shipping on a live checkout:

  • Go to your Shopify Admin page, then click Settings at the bottom of the sidebar menu.

  • In the Shipping section, click the side-facing arrow in line with 'General shipping rates'.

If you are using Shopify’s Profiles feature, we strongly recommend moving all of your products into a single General Profile.

 

  • Click the ellipsis (three dots) beside a Shopify rate or other third-party rate, then click Delete on the drop-down list.

  • Repeat the steps above for each additional Shopify or third-party rate in each of your Shipping Zones.
  • Click the Save button on the Shopify menu bar at the top of the screen to save your Shopify settings. Once the save is complete, rates from Shopify or other sources linked to Shopify can no longer be displayed at checkout.
  • If you haven't already done so, return to Intuitive Shipping to select and activate a billing plan. While you’re still in Sandbox mode, rates from Intuitive Shipping cannot be displayed to customers.

 

Once testing is complete and you’re ready use Intuitive Shipping on a live checkout:

  • Go to your BigCommerce Admin page, then click Settings at the bottom of the sidebar menu.

  • In the Configure your shipping rules section, click the edit button in line with the shipping zone that includes rates from other sources.

  • Toggle any rates not provided by Intuitive Shipping to the 'Off' (left) position.

  • Repeat the steps above for each additional Shopify or third-party rate in each of your Shipping Zones.
  • Click the Save button on the Shopify menu bar at the top of the screen to save your Shopify settings. Once the save is complete, rates from Shopify or other sources linked to Shopify can no longer be displayed at checkout.
  • If you haven't already done so, return to Intuitive Shipping to select and activate a billing plan. While you’re still in Sandbox mode, rates from Intuitive Shipping cannot be displayed to customers.
